#804 khaki hashi koshi "azuma fukuro" one-handle bag

Super light-weight, durable, foldable and stylish tote bag, made of the highest quality hand-dyed textile from Japan.

This "azuma fukuro" is made from rectangular tenugui textile. You tie the two tips to make the handle - adjustable for your mood and style of the day, or what you are planning to carry. It's suitable for carrying from your shoulder or any part of your arm ;)

The textile is incredibly durable, and the bag can hold surprising amount of stuff, e.g. large water bottle, apple, banana, and even a small cutting board for a quick picnic in the park!

The hand-dyed textile is also durable for wash. There is slight washes of color, but that gives the textile unique look. If it gets dirty, you wash it! And you can use the fresh bag the next day since it's very fast drying.

The textile is designed by Yuki Noguchi at Ahiroya and hand-dyed by Japanese artisan. Her intricate designs are based on traditional patterns, as well as her daily experiences. Each piece is poetic and work of art in and of itself. Unlike printed fabric, textiles dyed with this technique have vibrant colors on both sides and stay bright through after many washes.

The 100% tokuoka cotton fabric, made specially for Todaya, gets softer and softer though each use, and each patterns has a unique name and story associated with it.

Hashi Koshi: The hand-drawn chopsticks make up these unique crosses on the textile canvas. The rich red contributes to its elegance, and the chopstick crosses add humor to it.
