#025 origami o-hashi jinbei set
Jinbei are a casual style of kimono that is perfect for relaxing around the house, at the beach, in summer, and for sleeping. The loosely fit design and string tie adjustments allow babies to wear the same size for over a year.
This jinbei is approximately 70cm - 80cm (27.5" - 31.5") and is designed to fit babies that are 0 to 2 years old.
The string ties make it easy to put on lying down, and the pants comfortably cover babies' diapered bottoms with long crotch to waist design.
All warashi-ko jinbei are made exclusively from tenugui, a traditional Japanese textile, hand-dyed by Japanese artisans using the traditional chusen technique. Unlike printed fabric, textiles dyed with this technique have vibrant colors on both sides and uniqueness are heightened through uses and washes.
The textile is the highest quality 100% tokuoka cotton fabric. As a character of the fabric, it gets softer and softer though each use, and each patterns has a unique name and story associated with it.
#025 jinbei uses gray "origami" for the top and "hashi-koshi" for the pants.
Origami: The Depiction of good-old origami shapes, such as cranes, yakko san, kabuto (samurai helmet), lined up neatly against white background makes this origami pattern a fun and sophisticated design.
Hashi-koshi: The hand-drawn chopsticks make up these unique crosses on the textile canvas. The rich red contributes to its elegance, and the chopstick crosses add humor to it.
Both are designed by Yuki Noguchi at Ahiroya. Her intricate designs are based on traditional patterns, as well as her daily experiences. Each piece is poetic and work of art in and of itself.
Each jinbei is shipped wrapped in soft furoshiki gauze cloth.
